Brian Hennigan

Brian Hennigan is a British novelist, producer and director. Born in Edinburgh, Scotland he graduated from the University of St. Andrews with a degree in Philosophy with International Relations. Hennigan then taught English at Lanzhou University in the People's Republic of China, and at TDK in Akita Prefecture, northern Japan. He subsequently obtained an MSC in Japanese from Stirling University, Scotland.
Hennigan worked in marketing with Nissan Europe, Pringle of Scotland, The Macallan Malt Whisky and Bluewater Shopping Centre, Kent.
Hennigan’s first novel, ''Patrick Robertson: A Tale of Adventure'',〔(TODO: 'Patrick Robertson' ). Gawker.com (1 February 2007). Retrieved on 10 August 2011.〕 was published by Jonathan Cape in 2000. A second novel, ''The Scheme of Things'', was published in 2005 by Polygon, an imprint of Birlinn Limited. From 2008–2009 Hennigan studied at the Los Angeles City College Film School, during which time he interned with producer Gail Mutrux.

In 2010, Hennigan and Doug Stanhope teamed with Roadrunner Records to launch Roadrunner Comedy. A new label created to focus exclusively on stand-up comedy. About the new partnership Hennigan said: “We needed to find a supportive partner who would let Doug Stanhope be Doug Stanhope. There are millions of people all over the world that Doug hasn’t offended and with Roadrunner’s help we should be able to reach them all.”〔()〕
